Join the Team
We are actively recruiting! No prior knowledge of robotics is necessary. You can join the team no matter what local high school you’re attending. You need only be 14 years old and have finished 8th grade.
Join our official orientation day on Thursday, 9/17 from 4pm to 6pm! If you miss that day, no problem — check us out any Tuesday or Thursday from 4pm to 6pm. You do not have to register — just drop by during the meeting times.
How can you find our workshop? From inside SEHS, go to the lab across from the IHS staff office. From outside… the location is the old foundry at the back of South Eugene High School. It can be accessed through an exterior door. Here is is a Google Maps pin dropped on the location. Driving instructions:
Drive south on Patterson and turn right onto the small street across from the old YMCA site. It will be between the school and the soccer fields.
Park in the first parking area on the left.
Go to the purple door (#20) to the right of the garage door, across from the parking.
Our diverse team is more than just robots… get involved with the team’s business, fundraising, coding, computer aided design (CAD), graphic design, photography, videography, social media, game strategy and much more. There is something for everyone at SERT.

Volunteer
Not a tech expert? No problem!
Volunteers help with everything from transportation to meal support to general supervision, as well as mentoring students in more specific skillsets.
** Must be 21+ and complete a background check

It truly takes a village to continue empowering, and educating, our students through SERT’s robotics program. Any donation amount helps SERT to travel, feed the students and volunteers, and to build our award-winning robots each season.

BottleDrop Donations
Our BottleDrop campaign continues year round and helps fund our scholarships and team needs. Please continue to gift us your empty bottles and cans, and we will turn them in to support SERT. Drop cans and bottles by the foundry anytime we are meeting, or contact us for a larger donation amount.
