What’s new:

SERT received the First Impact Award at Oregon City, and just like that we are heading to DCMP in Washington!!!

At the Oregon State Fairgrounds SERT was chosen as Alliance 6 captain and we invited teams 4125 and 2926 to join us in the finals. Our unique robot design earned us the Creativity Award!

SERT was in the news for our impact on girls and women in STEM!

What’s on the horizon:

Outreach: SERT continues our volunteer efforts, and outreach in our community, including modifying toys for children with disabilities, offering Summer camps, demonstrating our robotics at local schools, and 3D printing gifts for unhoused youth.

Join the fun:

We are actively recruiting, no experience needed!

You can join the teamno matter what local high school you’re attending, you need only be 14 years old and have finished 8th grade. Join us in Summer to learn new skills, then stay on the team for competition season kickoff in January!

Advocacy:

A resolution honoring SERT was voted on and passed in the Oregon Senate. You can read the text here. In February 2025 several SERT students traveled to Salem to testify for the resolution and provide advocacy for continued robotics programs in Oregon.

Other ways to participate:

Our diverse team is more than just robots…..get involved with the team’s business, fundraising, coding, computer aided design (CAD), graphic design, photography, videography, social media, game strategy and much more. There is something for everyone at SERT.
